In the era of 1921, this land located in a beautiful environment of Kadawatha Ganemulla Road was donated by Mr. Simon Weerasekera who was a resident of Kadawatha area at that time in a noble mission to establish this school. History testifies that this college was started with 5 teachers and 21 students on the land thus received under the name of "Kadawatha S.Thomas College". At that time, the position of principal of this school was held by Mr.M.B.A.Mendis.At that time, this school consisted of 21 students and only one building, today it has 8 buildings, 22 separate classrooms, and a technical laboratory. This school, which holds classes from 6th grade to 13th grade, is a 1 AB school that offers dual media teaching for grades 6-10, with all 3 streams of advanced science, arts, and commerce.
