Kadawatha Madi Maha Viduhala is a unique school with a rich history that dates back about a hundred the years. In the era of 1921, the land located in a beautiful environment of Kadawatha Ganemulla road with was donated by Mr. Simon Weerasekera who was a resident of Kadawatha area at that time with noble mission to establish this school. History testifies that this college was started with 5 teachers and 21 students on the land thus received under the name of "Kadawatha Saint Thomas College". At M.IMBA Mendis that time, the position of principal of this school was held by Mr.M.B.A.Mendis. At that time, this school consisted of only 21 students and one building, and today it is an excellent educational ground with 8 buildings, 22 separate classrooms and a technical laboratory. This school, which holds level classes from 6th grade to 13th grade, is a 1 AB school, where all 3 streams of advanced level science, arts, and commerce are conducted. Mr. P. Ramanathan, M.D., who held the position of Principal here, as pilots dedicated to uplifting Kadawatha Middle High School, which had been undergoing many changes until now, to its present state. Mr. A Perera, Mr. E.S.W. Perera, W.R.A.D.S. Mr. A. Siri Weerakoon, Mr. RA Karunajeeva, Mr. M. Piyathissa, Mrs. H. A. R. Ekanayake, Mr. P.
