Starting as a girls group in the 1960s, the girls group became inactive in the late 1970s and again in the year 1990, the boys group registered as a boys group under Cadet Sergeant Sahan Pradeep Withana (current Member of Parliament) student and Saman Indika student started camping for the first time. is in the year 1994 under Cadet Sergeant Dhanuka Namal. In 2019, due to the dedication of former cadets Prasanna Welivita, Jayantha Sampath and Rajini Wijewardena, it is being implemented very actively in the school and in the 3rd Battalion. The Kadawata Central High School Cadet Union, which produced a large number of disciplined citizens who work for the country including three armed forces officers, police and prison officers, is currently active in contributing greatly to the development of the discipline and personality of the students of the school.
