In 2018, an Invention Society was established for the first time in Kadawatha Central High School, which was like a haven for developing students' talents, with the theme that the nation that does not create new things - the world does not win.
Kadawatha Madhya Maha Vidyalaya's Invention Association is still active by creating wonderful tools that we can meet in the future world and making various efforts for that. The Invention Society currently consists of 35 members under the patronage of the Principal and Vindhya Ekanayake and Priyadarshini Kulasekara under the chairmanship of student Vinod Prabhaswara.
During the recent Covid epidemic which was a challenge that we all faced, the automatic robot machine that can carry essential medicines, food and drinks to the patients created by the student of our college's Invention Society, Vinod Prabhaswara, was also appreciated at the whole of Sri Lanka. In addition to this, carpet that can produce electricity, auto-focusing vehicle side mirror, smart school bag, various drone cameras, home security systems, air rifles operated by sanitizer, etc. can be mentioned as some of the new products of our association.
The government has given us the necessary items for an innovation laboratory by giving a hand to the children's abilities, but the lack of space and facilities to engage in activities with those items in a safe place is a difficulty that the innovation association is currently facing.
In the face of all these challenges, Kadawatha Central college Innovation Association continues to work forward, keeping in mind the national goals of preparing a generation that can overcome the challenges of tomorrow.
